master key
a method that a computer uses to know who you are, for example by recognizing your finger or face, rather than needing a password(= a secret combination of words or numbers) to be entered:
Choose the headset or device on your phone and use a passkey or PIN.
The wizard allows you to choose a passkey for any connected Bluetooth device.
The night porter used a passkey for those rooms that were empty or where no one answered.
During the fire, building managers gave firefighters a ring full of pass keys.
It may also ask you for a passkey if you have never paired the devices before.
