Use with caution in patients with adrenal insufficiency, including Addison disease. Among endocrine disorders, Addison's disease and hypopituitarism are the commonest causes. Many patients with treated Addison's disease complain of chronic, low-grade fatigue. Addison's disease causes low cortisol levels, and is treated by cortisol replacement therapy. |
